Teaching objectives

The aim was to give educators ideas to link the acquisition of background information (artists’ names, works of art, artistic periods, historical references) to the acquisition of linguistic and cultural competencies in French for their students. The training also helped educators prepare their students for the sensory experience of Théâtre du Rêve’s original piece which explores the Tuileries Garden across the centuries. After the visit educators were equipped to use drama in the classroom with their students through the development of original scenes inspired by the art work and theatrical performance.

Pedagogical Kit

Participants received a pedagogical kit that will include images to be used in pre-visit lessons (powerpoint or photocopies) as well as lesson plans for post-visit activities.
