Concert: Sonic Generator & Orchestre National de Lorraine

When: Sunday, November 3 at 7:00 pm
Where: Ferst Center for the Arts (349 Ferst Dr NW, Atlanta, GA 30332)

Sonic Generator, the high-tech contemporary music ensemble in residence at Georgia Tech, and soloists of L’Orchestre National de Lorraine joined forces for an exciting evening of contemporary music.

Under the direction of ONL’s music director Jacques Mercier, this transatlantic collaboration presented innovative French and American contemporary music, featuring Steve Reich’s City Life, a seminal work that uses digital samplers to bring the sounds of New York City into the concert hall.

A reciprocal concert performed by the two ensembles will take place at the Arsenal de Metz in France in February 2014.
