France’s National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS)  has a strong network of international collaborations around the world through its Unités Mixtes Internationales (UMI). The workshop will provide an opportunity for all the UMI of North America to meet and bring together their research networks in order to tackle the grand challenge of climate change and sustainable development. This event is by invitation only.

CNRS is the largest governmental research organization in France and the largest fundamental science agency in Europe. It is organized into 10 Research Institutes. It has 36 joint international research laboratories in the world (UMI).

This event is co-organized by the French Centre national de la recherche scientifique (CNRS) and the Georgia Institute of Technology.
