Inaugurated on October 25 in presence of French Ambassador to the United States His Excellency Mr. François Delattre, the Honorable Nathan Deal, Governor of Georgia, and the Honorable Kasim Reed, Mayor of Atlanta, France-Atlanta 2012 brought together over 4500 guests, participants, and specialists for over 15 events from October 25-November 10.
The season saw many positive results, including the intensification of academic and scientific partnerships, strategic contacts made in the sectors of water management, nuclear energy, sustainable airports, and contemporary dance, and the construction of a Habitat for Humanity house by the French community in Atlanta and a housing renovation project by Georgia Tech students in Lorraine, France.
