Music & Technology | Loïc Guénin
Loïc Guénin is a French composer known for his unique soundscapes and graphical scores. Hovering between experimental rock noise with contemporary aesthetics and an electro-acoustic sound, Loïc Guénin’s music refuses to adhere to a specific category. His approach to sound and listening places him at the border between music and contemporary art.
As part of France-Atlanta 2019, Loïc Guénin will present his work and approach to Georgia Tech music students. He will also work with musicians from a Georgia Tech student jazz combo as they prepare for a performance of one of Guénin’s graphical scores. The performance will be held at Georgia Tech on November 20.

This event is co-organized by the Cultural Services of the Embassy of France in the United States and the Georgia Tech School of Music, with the support of the FACE Foundation, Spedidam, Sacem, the Mayor’s Office of Cultural Affairs – Atlanta, and Le Phare à Lucioles, in collaboration with Dad’s Garage and Fire House.
