France-Atlanta 2015 Launched With a Plea for Action on Climate Change

France‘s ambassador to the U.S.,Gerard Araud, launched the sixth annual France-Atlanta program Tuesday evening with a passionate plea on behalf of the2015 United Nations Climate Change Conference to be held inParis from Nov. 30-Dec. 31.
Known as COP21 for the 21stannual session of the Conference of Parties, the conference is to call on the countries represented for a legally binding and universal agreement preventing damage to the earth due to human-driven changes in its climate.
Mr. Araud said at the Besharat Gallery in Atlanta’s Casteberry Hillneighborhood where the opening ceremony was held that humanity’s future was at a tipping point requiring “a paradigm change” in lifestyles.
