Symposium Biodiversity : Human Health

The impact of Biodiversity on Human Health

Human and planetary health are linked to biodiversity in ways that are not always clear or appreciated by the public. Taking the ethnobotanical approach, an interdisciplinary team of scientists is collaborating to demonstrate that translational science is geared towards the improvement of human health.

Chaired by Cassandra Quave, Assistant Professor and Herbarium Curator at Emory University, the symposium is organized into four interactive sessions with discussions between international keynote leaders from France and the United States. These discussions will be followed by interactive Q&A sessions that will provide an opportunity to engage with faculty as they share their perspectives and personal experiences.

This event is co-organized by the Office for Science and Technology at the Embassy of France in the United States and Emory University.
