US-French post-graduate seminar on student seminar on Chemical Analysis at the Nanoscale.

When: September-March
Where: France

The scientific services of the Consulate Generals of France in Atlanta and Houston are organizing a seminar between American and French doctoral students around the theme "Chemical analysis at the nanoscale.".

The seminar will take place in Toulouse, Grenoble and Paris, France, in March 2014 and will be followed by a visit of several state-of-the-art French nanocharacterization laboratories.

In September 2013, the Office for Science and Technology held a competition for U.S. PhD students to compete for a fellowship to attend the seminar. Based on the excellence of their records and the originality of their research, eight winners will be selected by a jury for a grant to cover the expenses of the round-trip ticket to Paris, trips within France and accommodation.

The objective of the seminar is to enhance scientific exchanges between young researchers, increase mutual awareness of laboratories of excellence in the field and possibly to trigger collaborations between the US and French laboratories.
